Welcome to Hôtel Marseille Palais Des Congrès

The Hôtel Marseille Palais Des Congrès offers a distinctive blend of comfort, accessibility, and practical amenities, making it a commendable choice for travelers visiting Marseille. Nestled at 162 Bd Rabatau Daniel Matalon, this 3-star hotel serves as a convenient base for exploring the surrounding built-up area, including the historic 1800s Cimetière Saint-Pierre and the scenic hikes of Massif de Saint-Cyr.

Guests frequently praise the hotel’s well-appointed rooms, which are noted for their cleanliness, tasteful decor, and air conditioning—an essential comfort during warm Mediterranean days. The beds are often described as exceptionally comfortable, contributing to restful nights. Thoughtful details like in-room coffee and tea facilities further enhance the stay.

The hotel’s commitment to accessibility stands out prominently. Travelers with special needs find the facilities notably accommodating, particularly the wheelchair-accessible bathrooms and reserved parking spaces right in front of the hotel. This level of inclusivity adds tremendous value for guests requiring such considerations.

Hospitality here is a mixed, yet generally positive experience. While some visitors initially found the staff reserved, many attest to their genuine friendliness and helpfulness once engaged. The staff show effort in bridging language gaps to ensure guests feel welcomed and supported throughout their visit.

Dining options within the hotel receive favorable remarks. A quality restaurant and bar serve as convenient hubs for relaxation after busy days, with some guests highlighting the expertise of the chef and the delicious breakfast buffet. Having the option to enjoy meals on-site enhances the overall convenience for business travelers and tourists alike.

However, the hotel's location can be a drawback for some, particularly those reliant on public transportation to reach Marseille’s vibrant city center. While the hotel’s proximity to a racecourse and nature hikes appeals to outdoor enthusiasts, the limited transport connections somewhat offset its accessibility.

Overall, Hôtel Marseille Palais Des Congrès delivers strong value with well-maintained facilities, attentive service, and thoughtful accessibility features. It is an ideal choice for visitors seeking a comfortable and dependable stay in Marseille, particularly those prioritizing inclusivity and practical amenities over luxury. The balance of friendly service, quality accommodations, and strategic location in a dynamic neighborhood leaves a lasting positive impression.

Good facilities and great service ! My daughter has special needs and a wheelchair. And the bathroom was very convenient for her/us. There is the possibility to eat in the evening which is very useful when you get back from busy day. Also a pmr place in front of the hotel

Stayed here for 4 nights for the Olympics. Great room, staff were a little intimidating at first but actually were really friendly and incredibly helpful! Room was clean and air conditioned, bed maybe one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in. They provided cold bottles of water in the lobby - a lifesaver in the heat! I didn't have breakfast so don't know about their offerings there. The hotel is both conveniently and inconveniently located - if you want the Vélodrome then it's perfect. It's about 15 minutes to the metro station, although at the minute the walk is a bit confusing because of roadworks, and you do have to walk through a dark archway which could be intimidating for some people. You can technically walk to the hotel from the centre of the city, but I wouldn't put myself through that again personally. Overall I had an amazing stay, and will definitely stay again next time I'm in Marseille!

They are alright rooms, as always staff... Meh some better some not... In general, no one is really wiling to "go the extra mile" in France, as compared to other countries, big chain hotels, feels more distant and less friendly. That is: If you ask for something let's say, out of: "bonjour j'ai une réservation" staff would be troubled... Never had a gesture of courtesy, although sometimes I have returned up to 5-10 times in a year, they are mostly correct, but lack the sense of extraordinary service, you are given in Spain, or some eastern European countries.

We were very well received at Kyriad. It’s a cozy 3*. The staff is thoughtful and although not everyone spoke English they were always making the effort for the best communication and to make you feel welcome. Good price-quality relationship. We recommend it.

I love everything about the hotel but the location. I knew it was a little far from the center, but I didn’t know it was so poorly connected by public transport. Otherwise I really loved my stay
